Quite a few years ago, without really thinking, I decided it would be a good idea to become a teacher. It seemed like a natural progression and I never really had to leave education, sure, I had part-time jobs and I worked a whole host of those, but did I honestly think teaching was for me? Was it what I dreamed of as a child?
I’m 30, society says I should be settled down into my career now, quite honestly I’m fed up of making decisions based on society and what others will think.
A close friend suggested it was easier to become a doctor than to gain a place as a trainee perfusionist (albeit a lot more expensive and time-consuming)
My journey is going to test that hypothesis
